He argued that contrary to the government claim, he obtained the necessary documents and due approvals before he constructed his multi-million naira structure, stressing that necessary building permits were obtained from government for the construction of the building.
The Veteran Gospel Musician also called on the State Commissioner for Information, Culture and Tourism, Toye Arulogun, to “refrain from misleading the public” concerning the reasons for the demolition.
Ayefele emphasized that necessary documents were obtained on the building and that a discussion relating to the establishment of a central abattoir by the State Government could be behind the demolition.
However, State Commissioner for Information, Toye Arulogun was said to have explained that the State Government had also received petitions detailing about three ugly accidents that took place around the building. The government had served the management of the building a notice of demolition which expired August 15.
