Queen of drums, Ara partners Penpushing media, set for world female drummers’ festival
The Africa’s First Female Talking-Drummer to feature on world stage, Aralola Olamide has partnered Penpushing media, as her organization concluded arrangements for the first World Female Drummers Festival(WFDF) scheduled to hold in Nigeria.
Penpushing reports that, the Queen of drums made this known during a visit and presentation of souvenirs to the management and editorial board of the media outlet, explaining that the reputation of Penpushing media in authentic dissemination of news globally was major factor in partnering with the establishment.
The initiator of the festival said the platform will give female drummers across the globe opportunities to express themselves to a world in dire need of unity and peace, adding that the 3-day event will attract participants from twenty countries.
‘WFDF is an iconic global platform for Female Drummers from across the world to express themselves to a world in dire need of Unity and Peace. This event will be the world’s first gathering of Female Drummers in one country, on one stage!’, she said
Penpushing further reports that, Ara who is a member of the Penpushing platform, and arm of the media organisation noted that, the world is passing through a most precarious phase in its tumultuous transition to a new age, stressing that, the role of women in the needed effort to save our planet from the precipice is deep and multi-dimensional.
‘Our importance as co-workers in the perpetuation of Planet Earth deserves artistic expression through the profound power of Drum, to be projected from the depth of the ageless soul of the diverse cultures we represent as mothers, sisters, and daughters’, she added.
‘WFDF will deliver captivating and compelling messages of Unity and Peace in a 3-day long sequence of mind-blowing performances through the uncommon skills of talented women drawn from over 20 countries’.
Penpushing reports that, Ara who is ranked high in the international entertainment industry performing alongside globally renowned musicians said, the event will be a continuous experience, adding that, it will complement existing global action aimed at improving conditions and opportunities for the girl-child.
