PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION: BUHARI LEADING WITH OVER THREE MILLION VOTES
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) at its headquarters in Abuja has announced 27 states, which also include the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), while some other States including Rivers and Bayelsa have been announced at the collation centres of the commission in the respective states.
Penpushing further reports that, going by the 33 States officially announced by the electoral body so far, Buhari has won in 16 states, which include; Bauchi, Borno, Ekiti, Gombe, Jigawa, Kaduna, Kano, Katsina, Kogi, Kwara, Lagos, Nasarawa, Niger, Ogun, Osun and Yobe.
Similarly, the Candidate of the opposition party, has also won in 17 states and the FCT. The states are Abia, Adamawa, Akwa Ibom, Anambra, Benue, Ebonyi, Edo, Enugu, Imo, Ondo, Oyo, Plateau, Taraba, Bayelsa, Delta and Rivers,as well as the Federal Capital Territory(FCT).
Penpushing also reports that, weighing performances of the rival candidates, it showed that, Buhari has recorded leading victory in most of the Northern .
Meanwhile, the opposition Peoples Democratic Party( PD)P has,, rejected the announced results, arguing that the results does not reflect the votes casted across the country on at the Saturday elections
