
Post graduate student spends five years to earn a master’s degree
A post-graduate student in Electrical and Electronics Engineering Department at the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB). Engr. Peter Ogunbowale has completed his Master programme after spending five years for the programme.
Penpushing reports that Ogunbowale who will finally graduate on Saturday, January 25, 2025, started the Post Graduate programme on September 2019 and eventually graduated in April 2024, a period of five years.

Penpushing further reports that he stated that his recognition underscores a journey of academic excellence within Nigeria’s education and engineering sectors, adding that he was thrilled to finally completed the master’s programme
‘My journey to this milestone has been remarkable and challenging. I began the program in September 2019 and eventually graduated in April 2024—five years pursuing a master’s degree, a duration long enough to earn another first degree’, he said.
‘At one point, I almost gave up, which led me to enroll in another master’s degree program, an MBA at the University of Lagos (UNILAG). However, through perseverance and determination, I successfully completed my studies, Ogunbowale recalled.

‘My grades include all As except one B, and I published three research papers from my work—one in a local journal and two in international journals.
