Policemen to face disciplinary action for allegedly celebrating musician with gun shot
Some policemen have ran into trouble water for celebrating a musician with gun shot in Kano city of Kano State, a conduct considered by the authorities as unprofessional and will not be condone by the authorities
Penpushing reports that a trending video hit the social media where the erring policemen were seen escorting the musician into his car and immediately the musician entered his car the policemen in the midst of the crowd were seen firing gun shot to rub the ego and hype the musician
The police authorities in reaction to the development issued a statement from the Force Public Relations Officer, Muyiwa Adejobi to condemn the actions adding that the policemen involved had been identified and subsequently arrested.
“The NPF has condemned the Unprofessionalism and act of indiscipline displayed by the policemen caught in the video that is trending where some policemen were seen firing shots to rub the ego and hype a musician in the Kano city recently”, the statementreads
Penpushingfurtherreports that Adejobi in the statement added that the erring policemen will be transported to Abuja to face disciplinary action, stressing that such act was unpolice and cannot be condone in any form, and equally thanked those who forwarded the video for the attention of police leadership
“The policemen have been identified and arrested. They will be brought to the Force Headquarters for interview and necessary disciplinary action. Such an act is unpolice and can not be condoned in any way”, Adejobi emphasized.
“So, we appreciate the concern of well-meaning Nigerians and groups who have forwarded the video to us for our attention and action. We will continue to adopt and embrace innovations and ideas that can propel productive turnarounds in the Police”, he added.
