Policeman dies of coronavirus in Ogun state

A policeman has died of coronavirus at the Federal Medical Centre,(FMC), Idi-Abeokuta, Ogun State Capital, same day he  tested positive for the virus.

Penpushing reports that, the insitution Public Relations Officer, Segun Orisajo disclosed this in a statement on Sunday, adding that the deceased was presented in the General outpatients department of the hospital following the symptoms

“The Centre has recorded the death of a patient who tested positive for coronavirus.The deceased, a forceman presented in the General Outpatients department about three days ago”,Orisajo wrote.

Penpushing further reports that, Orisajo explained that the patient died same day, adding that the result of his test returned on Sunday morning was positive, and couldn’t survive it, stating that the corpse as at the time of this report is being prepared for release to his family

“He later died same day.The result of his test returned this morning positive.His body is being prepared for release to his family for burial in strict compliance with World Health Organizations guidelines”,he disclosed.

The hospital Head of Media and Public Relations  said in the statement that all staff who came in contact with the deceased are currently on self isolation.
