Peoples Democratic Party Disciplinary Committee denies suspending members
The Chairman Disciplinary Committee of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Ogun State Chapter, Hon. Bola Odumosu has distanced himself from a report purportedly recommending the suspension of three members of the State Executive Committee and State Working Committee of the party.
Penpushing reports that, said at no time did his committee meet or recommend the suspension of the State Acting Chairman, Barrister Boladale Sanni; the State Secretary, Prince Adeleke Shittu and the State Publicity Secretary of the party, Mr. Oyejide Sunkanmi (a.k.a Suco).
The chieftain of the party fingered Segun Seriki who he said had been expelled from the party by the Prince Uche Secondus-led National Executive Committee of the Peoples Democratic Party( PDP) since 2018 as behind spreading the falsehood news.
Penpushing further reports Odumosu, who was named as the Chairman disciplinary committee set up by the former Chairman of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ogun State, Mr. Kayode Bamgbose called for genuine reconciliation in the party.
“In reaction to the above information, I want to categorically state that the disciplinary committee under my chairmanship has never recommended any suspension against any member of the state executive committee of our great party, PDP. All we are preaching is reconciliation between all the factions of our party for the benefit of all,” Odumosu said.
Penpushing also reports that party source said Bamgbose was suspended by the State Executive Committee of the party on the 9th of November, 2020, alongside five others for anti-party activities.
The source added that, Bamgbose ill-advised and belated move is seen by political pundits as a feeble reaction to their subsisting suspension which they have tried unsuccessfully to reverse.
