Penpushing member’s mother dies at 88

The mother of a member of Penpushing platform, Toun Okewale-Sonaiya, the Chief Executive Officer of the first Nigerian Female radio station, WFM located in Arepo, Obafemi-Owode local government area of Ogun state has died at age of 88.

Penpushing reports that the family in a statement said the mother, Adenike Oyewale passed on Friday October 4,2024, adding that burial arrangement will be made public soon, describing the deceased as a beloved matriarch.

The statement emphasized that the legacy the deceased left behind which include kindness and resilience of faith among others will be celebrated, pointing out that her warmth touched many and she will be deeply missed

‘With a grateful heart, the families of Okewale and Sobo announce the passing of our beloved matriarch Adenike Sussanah Ayoka Okewale who left us on Friday 4th October 2024 at the age of 88’, the family wrote in a statement

‘A loving mother, a cherished grandmother and a great grandmother. She was our beacon of love, wisdom and grace. Though, we mourn her passing, we celebrate the legacy she leaves behind-kindness, resilience and faith’, the statement added

‘Her warmth touched many and she will be deeply missed. Dear, Mama as you rest peacefully in the Lord, you will remain forever in our hearts. We love you dearly. Rest on Mama. We love you you’, the statement stated

Penpushing further reports that the management of the media outlet had written a condolence letter to  the family, describing the death as shocking and thunderbolt in the hearts of membership across the globe

‘The Management and Editorial Board of Penpushing Media, owner of Online Newspapers and Television, on behalf of our membership across the globe have condoled with Toun Okewla-Sonaiya on the demise of her mother, Adenike Sussanah Ayoka Okewale who died on Friday 4th October 2024 at the age of 88’, the letter reads.

Penpushing also reports that in a condolence letter forwarded to the family and signed by Prince Dimeji Kayode-Adedeji, Founder of Penpushing Media on behalf of the members across the globe said the news of death of the kindhearted mother was difficult to believe when it hit the airwave

‘The shocking news of the passage of the matriarch of Okewale came as a thunder bolt to our hearts, and it was difficult to believe when the sad news spread like wildfire, indeed, the demise was big blow to the community and Christendom’

‘We appreciate Mama because of her motherly and mentorship role to many people which cut across all gender, and ethics, as well as religion deployed her Godly wealth of experiences to better the lot of the society’,

‘The Community and Christian world, no doubt will miss her, and her death is a huge loss to the immediate family, Penpushing Platform where her daughter, Toun Okewale is a leading figure, while it is indisputable that her legacies are immense and remain indelible in our hearts’,

‘From Penpushing Media, no doubt we will miss this quintessential and courageous mother, while it is our prayer that God shall grant her eternal rest. Hopefully, we had envisaged that a loving soul and this great woman would be with us for a long time, but it has pleased the Almighty God, the unquestionable, to take her home for a deserved rest.
