Penpushing member Yinka Kotoye appointed judiciary committee member of Nigerian Bar Association

A member of Penpushing platform and Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) Adeyinka Kotoye has been appointed as member judiciary committee of the Nigeria Bar Association (NBA) alongside forty-two other members.

Penpushing reports that a list issued by the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), and signed by its President Yakubu Chonoko Maikyau, indicated that the appointments were ratified by National Executive Council (NEC) at  its Quarterly Meeting held on 23 March 2023, in Birnin Kebbi, Kebbi State

The statement added that the Chairman of the Judiciary Committee, which is one of the Standing and Ad Hoc Committees  is Dr Babatunde Ajibade, (SAN) ,Dr Balkisu Saidu (Alternate Chairman) and  Adizua Okoroafor as the Secretary

Penpushing further reports that the statement explained that it was in pursuant to section 14 of the  Constitution of the Nigerian Bar Association, 2015 (as amended in 2021), which has also received the nod of National Executive Council(NEC)

Penpushing reports that membership of the law reform committee include Olawale Fapohunda,(SAN) as Chairman,. Hajiya Fatima Kwaku,(Alternate Chairman) and  Bulus Atsen(Secretary) while Rule of Law and Human Rights Committee are: Prof Yemi Akinseye-George, (SAN) as Chairman Dr Musa Adamu Aliyu(Alternate Chairman and  Paul Daudu as Secretary

The ethics and disciplinary committee are:  Prof Ernest Ojukwu,(SAN) as Chairman,Olabisi Soyebo,(SAN) Alternate Chairman and  Eno Edet as Secretary, while legal education committee comprises  Prof. Wahab Egbewole,(SAN) as Chairman,  Olatunde Busari, (SAN) as Alternate Chairman and Nyada Auta Secretary.

Penpushing further reports that dispute resolution committee has Mrs Olusola Adegbomire  as Chairman, Tonye Krukrubo( SAN) as Alternate Chairman and Aisha Ado Abdullahi  as Secretary, while welfare committee include  Emeka Onyemaechi Ozoani,(SAN) as Chairman, Desmond Yamah  ans Alternate Chairman and Nekabari Annah as Secretary.

The finance committee are: Omoyemi Lateef Akangbe as Chairman, Huwaila Muhammad as Alternate Chairman and Cecilia Makoji  as Secretary, while general purposes committee include  Dr Garba Tetengi, (SAN} as Chairman,  Oluseun Abimbola( SAN) as Alternate Chairman and  Rapulu Ernest Nduka as Secretary

Penpushing also reports that for sports and recreation committee are Godwin Madubuko(Chairman), Musa Abdullahi Lawan (AG Kano) Alternate Chairman and  Afamefuna Okeke as Secretary, while constitution review committee include: Yusuf Asamah Kadiri,(SAN) as Chairman,Abdul Rafindadi Mohammed( SAN) as Alternate Chairman and  Folarin Aluko as Secretary

The security agencies relations committee are Chukwuka Ikwuazom,(SAN) as Chairman, Simon Lough, (SAN) as Alternate Chairman and  Isah Abubakar Aliyu as Secretary, while digital committee are Inemesit Dike as Chairman, Idris Mohammed as Alternate Chairman and Marx Ikongbe  as Secretary

Penpushing further reports that anti-corruption committee include  Dr Roland Itoyah Otaru,(SAN) as Chairman, Juliet Ibekaku-Nwagwu as Alternate Chairman and  Ezenwa Anumnu as Secretary, while media and creativity committee comprises of Yahaya Maikori as Chairman, Charles Sunday Odenigbo as Alternate Chairman and  Juliana Imam as Secretary.

The future of legal practice committee are Emeka Obegolu,(SAN) as Chairman, Boma Ayomide Alabi, (SAN) as Alternate Chairman and  Prof. Kamal Dawud as Secretary while public interest litigation committee are Rotimi Ogunesan,(SAN) as Chairman, Dr Charles Mekunye,(SAN) as Alternate Chairman and Babajide Lawal  as Secretary.

Penpushing also reports that the stabilization fund committee are Jonathan Gunu Taidi  as Chairman, Pauline Abhulimen as Alternate Chairman and  Olabamiji Adeyeye  as Secretary, while committee on parliamentary affairs include  Chief Charles Luri Bala  as Chairman Victor Inedu  as Alternate Chairman and  Rukkayya Jalo as Secretary.

The appointment and remuneration committee are Yakubu Chonoko Maikya(SAN) as Chairman,  Adesina Adegbite (General Secretary)  Caroline Ladidi Anze-Bishop (Treasurer) Chinyere Obasi (Welfare Secretary) Oludayo Olorunfemi (Head, Human Resource Department),Abdullahi Yahaya,(SAN) and Desmond Yamah
