Penpushing member, Sola Ojo-Odunlami loses father at 83
A former School Headmaster and retired policeman, Apostle Kolawole Odunlami, has died at age 83 surrounded by some of his children and grandchildren at his private residence located in Olokuta community of Abeokuta, Ogun State Capital.
Penpushing reports that, the deceased, fondly called Baba Olopa, who was the father of a member of the Penpushing platform Mrs Olusola Ojo(nee Odunlami) died peacefully on Friday October 2nd, 2020.
The late Apostle was born at Ota in 1937 into the families of Odunlami and Olude, both of Aworiland, and started his career as a teacher, before he later joined the Nigeria Police Force in 1967.
Penpushing further reports that, he was a pioneer officer commanding, Criminal Investigation Bureau (CIB) Ogun State, and retired meritoriously in January,2002, having attained the rank of Assistant Commissioner of Police after serving in various capacities.
The octogenarian served as Divisional Crime Officer, Hong Yola, Divisional Police Officer, Ketu Alapere, Area Commander H Ogudu, Lagos, O/C – (officer commanding), X Squad, equivalent of the Military Police
Penpushing also reports that, one of the daughters of the deceased, Sola Ojo-Odunlami said the burial arrangements will commence on Wednesday October 7, 2020 with Service of song at family residence at Olokuta, Abeokuta by 5pm
The order of programme also has it that, on Thursday October 8, there will be lying in state at same venue by 8am, and the body will leave Abeokuta to Ota residence located at Temidire, and later to Ijemo compound, and thereafter to Abebi in the town for lying in state.
Penpsuhing reports that, the family said on Friday, October 9, wake keep is scheduled to hold at St Michael African Church(Bethel) Cathedral, Ota by 10am,adding that interment will follow immediately to be witnessed strictly by the family.
