Penpushing member, Kunle Oluomo organises befitting Fidau prayer for late mother

The Speaker of the Ogun State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Olakunle Oluomo, and a frontline member of Penpushing platform on Tuesday organised a befitting 8-day Fidau prayer for his late mother, Alhaja Tawakalitu  Oluomo who died at 86 years.

Penpushing reports that the Fidau prayer which was held at Ifo town in Ifo local government area of Ogun State attracted number of dignitaries which include Governor Dapo Abiodun who led government delegation to the ceremony,as well as guests from all walks of life who paid glowing tributes to the deceased who until her death was the Iyasuna of Ifoland.

The ceremony was also witnessed by political leaders, membjournalists, friends and associates, as well as clerics, party members and members of the Ogun State House of Assembly, who in turn spoke glowing about the late mother of the number one lawmaker in the state.

Penpushing further reports that, Governor Abiodun while speaking at the event pointed out the late octonogerian was a good reference to humanity who contributed meaningfully and dedicated her life to service of God, calling on the bereaved family  to take solace that Iya adini lived a worthy life and left behind fond memories.

“The death of a beloved matriarch is usually a painful loss, no matter the agenda, especially coming at a time her treasured companionship, wealth of experience and motherly counsel are most required”, Abiodun emphasised

The Governor commended the Speaker for his leadership quality in piloting activities of the assembly effectively which added value to his administration and thereby brought about  harmonious working relationship in all arms of government, adding that the pave way in attracting more development initiatives to the State.

Penpushing also reports that other notable personalities include : Chief Judge of the State, Justice Mosunmola Dipeolu, Secretary to the State Government, Tokunbo Talabi, Chairman, Conference of Speakers and Speaker of Bauchi State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Abubakar Suleiman in company of his colleagues which include  Rt. Hon. Funminiyi Afuye(Ekiti), Rt. Hon Bamidele Oleyelogun(Ondo), Rt HonHamisu Chidari(Kano) and Rt Hon Bawa Wuse(Niger)

The Chairman, Conference of Speakers of State Legislatures in Nigeria, Rt. Hon. Abubakar Suleiman, in his remarks extended his condolence to the bereaved family, and equally ofered prayers for the repose of the soul of the deceased.

Penpushing reports that the Chief Imam, Ifoland and, Imam Alli Olude, Mufasiu of Ifoland, Abdulwasiu Odebode and Primate of the African Church, His Eminence Julius Abbey, in their separate remarks tasked the people to be mindful of their deeds while alive pointing out that everyone was bound to give account to his creator in the day of judgment.

The clerics charged the people to emulate the life and virtues of the deceased who they described as a deeply pious religious adherent, who exhibited religious tolerance amongst family, friends and neighbours,just as he called on guests and others learn from her well-celebrated death, noting that she  lives with her deeds and resources at her disposal to appreciate while alive.
