Penpushing member, Goke Rauf appointed Rector D. S Adegbenro Polytechnic

The Governor of Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun has approved the appointment of a member of Penpushing platform Dr. Adegoke Akeem Rauf as the substantive Rector of D. S Adegbenro Information Communication Technology (ICT) Polytechnic, Itori-Ewekoro, Ogun State.

Penpushing reports that the announcement was contained in a press statement released by the Chairman of the Institution’s Governing Council, Ambassador Toye Okanlawon, adding that the appointment takes effect from 28th August, 2023.

The statement explained that Rauf who until his appointment, was a Chief Lecturer in the Department of Mass Communication, Moshood Abiola Polytechnic (MAPOLY), Abeokuta, Ogun State, takes over from Mr. Kehinde Job-Olatunji, who acted as the Institution’s Rector till date.

Penpushing further reports that the new Rector, at the Moshood Abiola Polytechnic (MAPOLY), Abeokuta served in various capacities including, Dean, School of Communication and Information Technology, Head, Department of Mass Communication, Elected Member of the Polytechnic’s Academic Board, among many other strategic positions.

The appointee beyond Moshood Abiola Polytechnic served as moderator to the Department of Mass Communication of numerous Polytechnics and Universities, and he is an National Board of Technical Education (NBTE) Resource Person, and he is a member of several professional bodies including the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR).

Penpushing also reports that the statement made available to journalists by the Head, Public Relations of the institution, Yinka Adegbite noted further that Raufu has acquired a fine blend of experience as an academic scholar, an industry guru and a renowned professional, adding that the  appointment will be for a single term of five years according to the new Polytechnic Act.
