PENPUSHING MEMBER BECOMES FIRST FEMALE OGUN JOURNALISTS CHAIRMAN
The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), National headquarters in a statement in Abuja by the Senior Assistant National Secretary, Gbemiga Bamidele and dated 18th November 2019 approved the report of the Ogun State Screening and Credentials Committee and declared Olugbenro and 6 others as duly elected.
The National Secretariat of the union while congratulating the new executive, led by Remi Olugbenro, who is Head of News Department of Paramount F,M, declared, ’you will accept assurances of the National Secretariat assistance and support at all time’
Penpushing further reports that, Chairman of the Screening and Credentials Committee, Comrade Lanre Ogunyinka while speaking on the outcome of the election said only seven forms were sold and returned to the committee for screening
The Screening and Credentials Committee Chairman added that the seven Candidates were all returned unopposed and elected which was approved by the Nigeria Union of Journalists(NUJ) headquarters in Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory(FCT).
Penpushing also reports that, it was celebration galore at the Iwe Iroyin Press Centre State Council Secretariat of the union In Abeokuta following the election as members continued to applaud the outcome of the election which they described as historic.
