Penpushing member, Bayo Sobande’s mother dies at 84
A member of the Penpushing platform, Deacon Bayo Sobande has lost his mother, Madam Eunice Atoke Sobande, who died September 3, 2022 at age of 84 in Lagos home of one of her son, who is a Medical Doctor
Penpushing reports that, the family in a statement announcing the burial programme said the wake-keep has been scheduled to hold on Thursday September 29, 2022 by 5pm at Sokenu compound NUD road, Oke Ijeun, Abeokuta.
The statement added that, Church service is slated for Friday, September30, 2022 at St Jude’s Anglican Church, Oke-Ijeun, Abeokuta, and reception to take place at Blue Banana Resort Hall, Mechanic village Gate,behind Christland University, Abeokuta, Ogun State Capital
Penpushing further reports that the biograph of the deceased has it that, she was a beautiful woman of virtue, who was adored by family and friends, and known to be lovely in and out and a Godly woman, as well as contented.
‘She was not contented with her inability to attend Church services as limited by old age with her husband that she moved for a house fellowship centre in the sitting room, in agreement with the church Pastorate. This later grew up over years to become a full fledge church now: Our saviour Anglican Church, Sokenu,Okebode’, the profile reads.
Penpushing also reports that, as a result of her vibrant activities in church she was awarded Matron of Ijeun Archdeaconry, and had uncensored determination for her children to succeed, as well as a known disciplinarian to the core and a loving grandmother , mother , wife, and friend.
‘Mama was born on the 30th of April, 1938 to her parents Pa Daniel and Mama Esther Olugbemi in Abeokuta, Abujana Obafemi- Owode Local government. Mama has siblings. She was raised in a nuclear family, forth among sixth, knowing the love of the Lord and the love of her family’, the biography added.
‘During life, Mama accomplished a lot of goals. She was a prosperous business tycoon who dealt in the transportation and sales of marketed goods. Even with her business, she remained a pillar of strength in her home to the late Emmanuel Folorunso Sobande and biological mother to five children: Chief Mrs Oluwatoyin Idowu, Deacon Adebayo Sobande, Dr Tunde Sobande, Mrs Omolola Osipintan, Mr Oluwafemi Sobande with many grand and spiritual children’.
‘While we would have desired more time together with our Mother, we believe that she has left an imprint on those she left behind. Iya-omo- nitooto, till we meet again at Jesus’ feet, we will really miss you’, the family said.
