Penpushing member Abiola Afolabi- Akiyode inducted into hall of fame as ambassador of women advocacy
A frontline member of Penpushing platform, Dr Abiola Akiyode-Afolabi will on Wednesday be inducted into the hall of fame and dignity as Ambassador of Women Advocacy,organized by Ebony Herald International Magazine.
Penpushing reports that, this was made known in a statement by the Publisher of the Magazine, Lai Gidado, adding that a renowned scholar of international repute and Registrar, Joint Matriculation and Admission Board (JAMB), Prof. Ishaq Oloyede, would be the guest speaker at the event, scheduled to hold by 10am at the Grace-Bliss Event Centre (Silver Mall), Bwari Express Way, Abuja, Federal Capital Territory(FCT)
The statement added that, the theme of the event is “2023 of politicking, religion, ethnicity and insecurity: the way forward”, stressing that there will be a book presentation titled, “Dream of our Founding Fathers, by Lai Gidado and other writers.
Penpushing further reports that, Gidado disclosed that at the events, the 10 major political parties contesting for various positions both at local and national levels in the country, are to make public presentation of their manifestoes.
The Publisher said Minister of Transportation, Hon. Muazu Jaji Sambo, is the chairman of the event, while President, Akure Lions Club, Dr. Bunmi Ademosu, is the special Guest,as well as Erelu Kemi Elebute-Halle is the Guest of honour.
Penpushing also reports that the statement said other notable personalities expected to grace the event include Ibrahim Ida, the Wazirin Katsina, Mallam Mohammed Kabiru Ilyasu among others
The awardee, is a Nigerian lawyer and civil rights activist, Director of Women Advocates Research and Documentation Center (WARDC), a Non-Governmental Maternal and Reproductive Health Advocacy Organization which major objective is to promote women’s rights, human rights, governance and rule of law
