Penpushing member Abdussobur Salaam elected Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities National Vice- President
A member of Penpushing platform Comrade Abdussobur Olayiwola Salaam has been elected the National Vice President of the Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities (SSANU).
Penpushing reports that, Salaam election took place at the second Quarennial National Delegates Conference held at the Nigeria Airforce Conference Centre Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory (FCT)
The election held Monday 10th and Tuesday 11th November 2020.was sequel to his (Salaam) endorsement by the Western Zone of the union as the National Vice President of the Zone at a prior meeting held at Ibadan in March 2020.
Penpushing further reports that, the zonal election puts the brave and courageous Salaam in charge and gives him supervision of twenty one university branches in the Western Zone of Nigeria.
The fearless activist prior to his election as National Vice President was the National Public Relations Officer of the union between 2015 and 2020, and was also the Chairman of Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities (SSANU) at the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta between 2008 and 2015
Penpushing also reports that, the outspoken Salaam was one time and Secretary of Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities (SSANU), Federal University of Agriculture,Abeokuta between 2005 and 2008.
The versatile university administrator is also a member of the Institute of Chartered Mediators and Conciliators, Society for Peace Studies and Practice, Association of Nigerian University Administrators and Association of University Administrators, United Kingdom.
Penpushing reports that, the National Delegates Conference which was attended by 925 delegates from across the country also witnessed the emergence of Comrade Muhammed Haruna Ibrahim as National President of the union.
The President is a Deputy Registrar, Mobiddo Adama University of Technology, Yola, former Chairman of the Branch and National Council member of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR).
