Penpushing Media, owner of online newspaper and television on Saturday November 18,2023 recorded another feat in the media industry as it bagged global Humanitarian Excellence Award at a ceremony held at Emperor’s Palace in Johannesburg, South Africa.
The event which is under the aegis of of Africa Partnership for Growth (APG), and brainchild of Leading Women of Africa Group is an annual economic gathering of entrepreneurs and decision makers from the public and private sector coming together to accelerate intra-Africa trade activities and ultimately contribute to the socio-economic stability and prominence of Africa in the global market.
The well packaged and colourful event hosted delegates and dignitaries representing 23 African countries and beyond, where Penpushing Media represented by Adetola Bakinson was presented the global award
Penpushing reports that letter confirming nomination of the organization, which was signed by Mr. Mike Hill, Adjudication Coordinator of The Leading Women of Africa (LWA) Group, said the ceremony is the second edition of the Africa Partnership for Growth (APG) Symposium.
The organizers in the confirmation letter earlier forwarded to Founder of Penpushing Media, Prince Dimeji Kayode-Adedeji explained that the media organization successfully scaled through the adjudication process and considered as being qualified for the award.
‘This is an official confirmation that you have been selected as one of the short-listed nominees of the 2023 Humanitarian Excellence Awards. The official Awards ceremony will take place at a glittering gala dinner to be held in Johannesburg on the evening of 18th November 2023’, it added.
Penpushing further reports that the letter emphasized that Leading Women of Africa (LWA) Group, awards benefits include that it recognises and celebrates the contribution of men in women’s development, it raises the regional and international profile of awardees, it raises government’s profile, it raises company’s profile, and it offers high level media exposure
The President of Leading Women of Africa Group Madelein Mkunu in her welcome speech while congratulating Penpushing Media alongside other awardees from various countries explained that the platform will encourage more men and women to work together as partners for development.
‘For the Awardees tonight, I would like to congratulate you for promoting inclusiveness by supporting women and empowering them to become key development agents in your countries. Africa is in need of true leaders who will contribute to the development and prosperity of Africans, and you here tonight have chosen to live a sacrificial life in order to leave a lasting legacy’, Mkunu said
Penpushing also reports that she added that Leading Women of Africa (LWA) will continue to showcase the efforts produced by men and women in the process of achieving gender equality as a key in a solid foundation in the Africa we want.
