OYO ROAD UNION LEADERSHIP TUSSLE: EJIOGBE, AUXILIARY MEETS, AGREED ON SHARING FORMULA
The crisis pointed finger to the Governor who was alleged trying to install ‘Auxiliary’ to be at the helms of affairs of the union in the State,arguing that that was why he proscribed the union led by former Governor Ajimobi’s steward, ‘Ejiogbe’.
The National President of the Union, Alhaji Najeem Yasin while speaking with journalists on Wednesday after meeting with Governor Makinde said that the purpose of his visit was in respect of the lingering crisis within the union in Oyo State, noting that both Ejiogbe and Auxiliary camps have agreed to work together for the interest of peace to reign in the union in Oyo State.
‘We have worked out modality to resolve the issue, and the modality was that each of the faction will bring nine (9) persons from their respective camps to comprised the 18 man leadership to run the affairs of the union in Oyo State for the next four years’,he said.
Penpushing reports that,he reiterated that the 18 man leadership will be full executive of the union in the State, adding that they will be inaugurated as soon as the proscription order on the union is lifted by Governor Makinde.
The union President emphasised that both sides have agreed with the conditions giving to them to resolve the crisis between them so that there can peace. He, however thanked the Governor for his quick intervention to avert break down of law and order in the state, calling on the Governor to unbanned the union because the union has not be unbanned as he speaks.
Penpushing also reports that,in his remark, Alhaji Abideen Olajide, otherwise known as ‘Ejiogbe’ told journalists that he was satisfied with the agreement since the agreement was in the interest of peace,while the factional leader of the union , Alhaji Mukaila Lamidi, a.k.a Auxiliary, said he was also satisfied with the agreement in the interest of peace, stressing that non of the members of the union should fight again and anybody causing trouble in the State because of the union should be arrested by the security agency.
