
Olori Ogunleye’s burial holds March 13
The remains of wife of late traditional ruler of Akinale Oba Olufemi Ogunleye of Owu Kingdom, Olori Olanike Ogunleye will be committed to mother earth on March 13, 2026 at Akinale town in Owu Kingdom of Egbaland.
Penpushing reports that the Olori died at age 66 on Monday February 9, 2026 at a private hospital in Ibadan, Oyo State Capital after a brief illness, a sad incident which occurred one and half years after demise of her late husband who was the Towulade of Akinale and a renowned journalist
The burial programme as released by the family and made available to Penushing Media indicated that the wake keep is scheduled to hold on March 12, 2026, with interment to take place in the ancient town the following day.

Penpushing further reports that Olori until her death was General Manager of bookshop of the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library (OOPL), Abeokuta, Ogun State Capital, and had previously worked as a teacher at St Saviour primary school in Lagos.
The Ijesa born deceased later moved to Corona Schools as head of school, and she is blessed with two children, step children, sister, brothers, nieces and nephews, and she was a golfer, as well as an active member of Ladies Golfers Association of Nigeria.
