Ogun State veteran journalists commiserate with Governor Abiodun over father’s death
The League of Veteran Journalists, Ogun State Chapter has commiserated with the Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun over the death of his father, Pa Emmanuel Abiodun.
Penpushing reports that, Chairman of the League, Oba Olufemi Ogunleye in the condolence letter, noted that the demise of Pa Abiodun has no doubt left indelible marks on the sands of time having touched number of lives and impacted knowledge on those who passed through him including the Governor and his siblings.
‘I write with a heavy heart on behalf of the League of Veteran Journalists, Ogun State Chapter to commiserate with Your Excellency on the transition to glory of your father, Pa Dr. Emmanuel Adesanya Abiodun which occurred on Monday, 2nd August, 2021 at a ripe age of 89 years’, Ogunleye wrote.
‘The demise of your loving father, no doubt had left indelible marks on the sands of time having touched number of lives and impacted knowledge on those who passed through him including you and your siblings’, the letter reads.
‘No doubt the death of a loved one is always painful, but, we equally wish to appreciate God Almighty for granting Pa Abiodun the grace to witness your inauguration as the Executive Governor of the state’.
Penpushing further reports that, the league chairman who is the Towulade of Akinale, in Owu Kingdom of Abeokuta also congratulate the Governor to have survived his father, and prayed that God will grant the family the fortitude to bear the irreplaceable loss
‘We also congratulate you for God grace on you, to survive your father and prayed to God in granting the Abiodun family the fortitude to bear the irreplaceable loss, and we equally console the widow, for God to grant her the divine strength to cope with the great loss’, the letter stated.
‘In the same vein, we write to use this medium in consoling Mama for the loss of her darling husband and soul mate of decades and we pray that God will grant her the divine strength to cope with the great loss. God will grant her good health and divine abundance’
‘Your Excellency, once again, take heart and kindly accept our support at this trying period and be assured of our esteem regards at all times, and pray that the good Lord grant Papa’s soul eternal rest’, the veteran journalists consoled.
