Ogun State security outfit, So-Safe Corps arrested alleged serial armed robbery ring leader
The Ogun State owned security outfit, So-Safe Corps has arrested an alleged notorious serial armed robbery suspect, Sunday Adekanbi,s aid to be resident of Oja Odan located in Yewa South Local Government area of the State.
Penpushing reports that, the Director of Information and Public Relations of the corps, Moruf Yusuf made this known in a statement on Sunday explaining that, nemesis caught up with the suspect when he was apprehended at Gbogidi Quarters ,Ilaro with s stolen motorcycle.
The Director said, investigation also revealed that, he had been a thorn in the flesh of students of Olabisi Onabanjo University Annex, Ibogun, having allegedly robbed them number of times with stolen household materials found with him.
Penpushing further reports that, Yususf said the suspect, during a search of his home, items recovered include; table refrigerator, plasma television set, radio set and rug among others, adding that the suspect confessed to the crime on interrogation
The Director said, the suspect was stopped for questioning by officers and men of the corps on routine patrol along Olorunda, Oju-Irin, having suspected that the motorbike he was riding to be a stolen .
Penpushing also reports that Yusuf said, the suspect realizing he was in trouble, took to his heels, but was later arrested, adding that as at the time of filing this report he has been transferred to the Police in Ibogun for further investigation and likely prosecution.
