
Ogun state amotekun recruits to commence training
The Ogun State Security Network Agency, is set to commence training for candidates who have successfully passed the recent recruitment process, from Sunday, 6th to Friday, 18th July, 2025, at the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Orientation Camp in Sagamu
Penpushing reports that the corps commander of the agency known as Amotekun Corps, Brigadier General Alade Adedigba(rtd) made this known in a statement made available to journalists on Wednesday in Abeokuta.
The agency boss explained that the recruitment and training exercise is part of Ogun state commitment to strengthening the operational capacity and ensuring effective maintenance of law and order.
Penpushing further reports that Adedigba stated that the training initiative, which is in line with Amotekun standard practice, is designed to equip the newly recruited personnel with the necessary skills and knowledge for operational efficiency and effective discharge of their duties.
The statement directed that shortlisted candidates are encouraged to adequately prepare for this essential training, arriving on time to facilitate a smooth induction process, and equally listed items to be brought for the training.
Penpushing also reports that the items include one bucket, one broom, one cutlass, two pairs of white round-neck T-shirts, two pairs of white shorts/knickers, two pairs of white tennis sneakers and two pairs of white socks
The other items are two pairs of white bedsheets, writing materials (jotters, pens, pencils, sharpener, erasers), two files containing passport photographs and original photocopies of credentials, Bank Verification Number (BVN) and National Identification Number (NIN)
Penpushing reports that the statement urged and warned all recruits to adhere to the instructions provided and fully cooperate with the camp officials throughout the training period to ensure its success.
Meanwhile, the Corps Commander in the statement congratulates the successful candidates and appreciate their courage, cooperation and commitment to serving with the Amotekun Corps.
