OGUN FEMALE PRESSURE GROUP COMMENDS GOVERNOR-ELECT ON FORMATION OF ECONOMIC TRANSFORMATION COMMITTEE, ASKS FOR MORE

The Women Group eulogised  Abiodun’s magnanimity of choosing his Economic Team across party lines and also  commended the fine mix of hands- on political grassrooters and professionals and technocrats types  across the geopolitical zones of Ogun State.

Penpushing further reports that, the Voice of Women(VOW), while highlighting the positive initiative as a signal of the economic vision of the incoming government also appreciated the Governor- elect for selecting two noble women namely Alhaja Salmot Badru and Prof Sidi Osho both  who are illustrious daughters of Ogun State in the team.

The Group, however urged the Governor-Elect to further look inward and open the door of governance for equally more talented, resourceful and committed citizens among the Women folks in Ogun State.

“In a Committee of 23 members to have ONLY TWO (2) WOMEN doesn’t really go down well with us as Voice Of Ogun Women.  To us, this amounts to gender marginalisation and retrogression in gender affirmative action’, Fadugba noted.  .

‘We as a body passionate about the development of Women in our beloved State, implores our Governor-Elect to engage more female technocrats and professionals in his nomination of appointees”, the statement emphasised.
