Penpushing further reports that, the Chairman said there was need for regular seminars for members, to update knowledge in crime fight, and also disclosed that, arrangements were ongoing to establish the committee in various schools in the Command.
‘We shall soon launch arms of PCRC in schools, and this is aim to make students to be security conscious, and guide them against social menace, in their own interest, their community, state and country at large’, Whyte emphasized.
The Divisional Police Officer of Kemta Police Division, Hadizatu Oganyi in her remark pointed out that, police cannot do it alone, hence, the need for the Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC) to give adequate support, in joint efforts to fight crimes and criminals to standstill.
Penpushing reports that, the Woman Superintendent of Police with Mascular Physique said, the Police Community Relations Committee(PCRC) should always endeavor to be available for the police, at any point in time for the common interest of the State.
Her words, ’police cannot do it alone. We need support of PCRC, we are meant to partner together. Let us do police work together. PCRC should be for us, we need you and you need us, let us jointly fight criminals to a standstill’
The Area Commander, Musiliu Aliu, in his own brief remark expressed appreciation to the Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC) for the regular support for the police, and charged them not to relent in the good efforts, in joining police to wage war against crimes and criminals in the State.
‘The police appreciates you all, what you are doing is a social responsibility which is appreciated by the police. I am optimistic that, with the PCRC level of support for the police, it has been a good development, and let us continue in joint and genuine efforts to curb crimes and criminals in the society.
Penpushing also reports that, Women Coordinator of Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC) in the State, Chief(Mrs) Yemisi Soyemi who was also in attendance, gave assurance that, the collaboration of the committee with the police to fight crimes has come to stay.
The proactive coordinator added further, ‘PCRC is a body of committed members who do everything to ensure that, the crimes and criminals are checkmated with the support of the police. We can proudly say that, the police in the state have been up and doing and this remain our motivation to support the police to fight criminals’
