Obaseki formally joins peoples democratic party

The embattled Governor of Edo State, Godwin Obaseki who resigned his membership of All Progressives Congress (APC) following his disqualification to contest the party primary ahead of the Governorship election later this year has formally joined the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)

Penpushing reports that, Obaseki on Friday led some of his appointees and supporters to the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) secretariat in Benin-City to pitch his tent with the opposition party.

The leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) had on Wednesday met with the governor who has shown interest for a second term in office as the State Governor, having being denied the opportunity by his former party for allegedly submitting questionable certificates.

Penpushing further reports, that Obaseki had earlier blamed Adams Oshiomhole of responsible for his political travail, ironically Oshiomhole, was few days ago relinquished as the National Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress(APC), following an appeal court ruling.
