Former President, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo on Thursday paid a surprise visit to the Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun at his Oke-Mosan office in Abeokuta, the State Capital, where the duo spent about an hour for a closed door meeting.
Penpushing reports that, Obasanjo arrived the Governor’s office at about 11.45am and was received by the Governor, before the duo entered into private discussions, which ended at about 12.45pm, and thereafter the former President left.
The former President speaking to journalists after the visit, said his visit was to greet the Governor for new year, and to discuss with him on promotion of what will move the state forward for the benefits of the residents
‘I have come to say happy new year to the governor, and then of course I have not been here, since he has been here, and to raise some issues that I believe of interest to development of Ogun State in the area, which include, education, agriculture, rural development, and we have a wonderful discussion, I have not come here to do assessment, but promotion of what will move Ogun State forward’,Obasanjo explained
