Obasa adjourns sitting indefinitely, after reinstatement as speaker

The impeached Speaker of Lagos State House of Assembly Rt Hon Mudashiru Obasa, has been reinstated following the resignation of Rt Hon Mojisola Meranda during plenary on Monday, putting an end to imbroglio which pervaded the assembly in recent time

Penpushing reports that Obasa was nominated by Hon Noheem Adams, representing Eti-Osa I, while it is recalled that the Lagos State House of Assembly has been in crisis since the removal of Obasa who insists his removal did not follow due process.

The resigned Speaker who was the Deputy of Obasa from being ousted, was equally reinstated as the Deputy Speaker of the assembly after she tendered her resignation letter during the plenary

Penpushing further reports that the reinstated Speaker while speaking at the plenary thanked the leaders of the All Progressives Congress, (APC), his colleagues for their support, and thereafter, adjourned indefinitely.
