Oba of Lagos, Akiolu returns to palace months after hoodlums attack
The Traditional Ruler of Lagos, Oba Babatunde Akiolu has returned to his palace on New Year day, months after he was chased out of the palace by hoodlums who hijacked the protest against police brutality.
Penpushing reports that, the royal father returned to the palace triumphantly in a white attire and seen in traditional dance, followed by number of white cap chiefs into the Iga Iduganran palace, as residents trooped out to catch glimpse of the monarch
The palace, it is recalled was invaded by the hoodlums, accusing the monarch of being part of the government and deserved to be punished during the wake of the hijacked youths genuine protest, and made away with valuables.
Penpushing further reports that, during the attack which led to destruction of number of properties in the palace, as well as carting away the staff of office and royal shoes of the traditional ruler, he(Akiolu) was sandwiched out from the palace to avoid being physically attack by the hoodlums.
The Friday return which concise with the new year celebration across the globe was celebrated by Lagosians, who joined him(Akiolu) in dancing, as he heads to the Iga Idugaran palace in a joyous and smiling mood.
Penpushing also reports that, the traditional Gbedu drums and gong were blaring out as the Lagos King commenced a walk and majestic dance into the renovated palace, which had earlier being batter by the hoodlums
