Non Governmental Organisation empowers Nigerian women to kick start own businesses

A Non Governmental Organisation, Gideon Orphanage Home and Home for the aged has empowered number of Nigerian women in Ogun State, to start their own petty trading in support of making life more meaningful to them.

Penpushing reports that, the cash empowerment for the aged women which was part of the establishment’s end of the year party for the aged and children took place at the headquarters of the organization located at Asero Estate, Abeokuta, Ogun State Capital.

The beneficiaries in Ankara uniformed outfit were also hosted to  a colourful ceremony with other gift items handed over to them, as well as the inmate children of the home sharing fun and joy over the ceremony while  some staff were also honoured.

Penpushing further reports that, the staff who were specially honored for their dedication and commitment to the developmental growth of the organization include: Mr Seun Apata,Mrs Dasaolu,Mrs Adekunle, Mrs Adisa,Mr Adesina, Miss Bolatito,Mrs Adeboye ,Mr Mayowa and Mr Sodiq

Penpushing also  reports that, the founder of the Home, Toyin Banjo in her speech, explained that the establishment of the home was divine, recalling that the journey started over eleven years ago, adding that God has been kind to her and the organization.

‘God has been factor of encouragement. God has been kind to me; we started the home eleven years ago. It is a divine call to start the home, God has been kind to Gideon Orphanage home’, the founder emphasised

Penpushing reports that, Banjo called on the beneficiaries of the empowerment to use the money judiciously, as handed over to them expressing optimism that if use for the purpose meant for, the outcome will be in multiple

The founder of Penpushing Media, Prince Dimeji Kayode-Adedeji in his remarks commended the genuine efforts of  Banjo, and called on other well meaning Nigerians to emulate the gestures,adding that if the country has likes of her across, the country will be more better.

The journalist called on the beneficiaries to always remember, the founder of the Gideon Orphanage Home and Home for the aged in their prayers, adding that they should see their contacts with the home and founder as divine

Penpushing further reports that, Reverend Folake Achudume in her remarks called on guests and beneficiaries on need to always be closer to God, adding that it was time to collaborate with God for the betterment of the society.

The wife of the General Overseer of Victory Life Bible Church (VLBC), Apostle Lawrence Achudume, said they should see themselves as carrier of light, noting that light will all time overshadow darkness, and therefore should not see themselves as strangers to God

‘God wants collaboration with Him for betterment of the world. See yourself as carrier of light, light will always overshadow darkness. There is need to be closer to God,to make life meaningful for individual. Don’t be a stranger to God and love your neighbor and always be prayerful’, she stated

Penpushing also reports that, some dignatries at the event include; Ambassador Tunde Oladunjoye(Chairman Board of Ogun State Television), Pastor Remmy Hazzan(Special Adviser on Public Communication to Governor),Temitope Akinpelu,Abimbola Akinpelu,Morufu Shorunke(MC Murpy) and Oluwatoyin Akinpelu among others.
