Nigeria’s Vice President Osinbajo arrives in Nairobi for Mo Ibrahim forum

The Nigeria’s Vice President, Prof Yemi Osinbajo has arrived in Nairobi, Kenya, to attend the 2023 Mo Ibrahim Governance Weekend (IGW), where he will deliver a paper with the theme, “Global Africa”.

Penpushing reports that Osinbajo was received at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport by top Kenyan government officials and the Nigerian High Commissioner to Kenya, Yusuf Yunusa, alongside other government functionaries.

The Vice President will speak at the first session on Saturday, and will join other leaders to discuss the topic, “Africa’s Weight in the World, Highlighting the Continent’s Assets and Potentials’, and is also expected to hold bilateral meetings with President William Ruto of Kenya and the British Minister of State for Development and Africa, Andrew Mitchell

Penpushing further reports that The Mo Ibrahim Foundation, the organiser of the annual forum, was established in 2006 with a critical focus on the importance of good governance and leadership for Africa, a forum will bring together leading voices from across Africa and beyond to discuss germane issues around the progress of the African continent.

The Kenyan President and former President of the African Development Bank, Donald Kaberuka as well as Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, Director-General of the Worls Trade Organisation(WTO) among others will also speak at the forum, where  leaders from Africa and across the world would be in attendance.
