Fallout of Penpushing report: Governor Makinde reveals name of company with coronavirus positive staff

The Oyo State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde, has finally revealed the identity of the Ibadan firm where 57 members of staff have tested positive for coronavirus, and this is coming after Penpushing report on the Governor’s earlier silence over the identity.

Penpushing reports that Makinde in a post via his Twitter on Wednesday said the name of the organisation is iSON Xperiences, located in Ibadan South West local government area of the State.

The Governor added that the new six cases recorded in the state on Tuesday are from the same organisation, saying that with this development, the number of confirmed coronavirus cases in the company is 63, while the total number of confirmed cases in the state is now 143.

“The COVID-19 confirmation tests for six suspected cases came back POSITIVE. All six cases are from the same organisation, iSON XperieGovernor noted that the company remains shut and will be decontaminated, adding that the Emences in Ibadan South West Local Government Area. So, the total number of confirmed cases in Oyo State is 143’,Makinde stated.

Penpushing further reports that the Emergency Operations Centre has continued intensive contact tracing to identify persons of interest linked to members of staff in the company.

The Governor, however called on residents of the state to call the Emergency Operations Centre on 08095394000 | 08095863000 | 08078288999 | 08078288800, if they find travelers from other states arriving in their community.
