
Nigerian lawmaker, Gboyega Isiaka turbaned as Seriki Adini of Yewaland

The member of Federal House of Representatives, Hon Gboyega Isiaka representing Yewa North/Imeko-Afon Federal Constituency at the national assembly was on Saturday turbaned as Seriki Adini of Yewaland by the Muslim community in Ogun State.
Penpushing reports the ceremony held at Ansar-Ud-deen primary school, Imeko town of Imeko-Afon local government area of the state was witnessed by dignitaries which include traditional rulers, religious leaders and politicians within and outside the state
The Islamic scholar Sheikh Tajudeen Olaotan in his sermon described the Seriki Adinni title as one of the most significant honours in Islam, pointing out that the turbaning of Isiaka was divine and symbolic.
‘This is not just a title. It is a divine responsibility. You must brace up for the task ahead, remain focused and determined, because there is no position without its challenges’, the Islamic cleric stated
Penpushing further reports that Olaotan, however, charged Isiaka to work towards uniting the Muslim Ummah in Yewaland, as well as encouraging him to prioritize human capital development by empowering the people through education.
The Islamic leader in same vein called on the Seriki Adinni on need to support the renovation and construction of mosques, and uplifting Imams as custodians of Islamic knowledge and values.
Penpushing further reports that he equally urged him to work towards uniting Umar in Yewaland, embrace human capital development, by empowering Yewa people educationally, build infrastructural development particularly renovation and building of Mosques, empowering the Imams as custodians of religion.
The Seriki Adinni who is Chairman of House Committee on National Planning and Economic Development in his speech pointed out the importance of interfaith harmony, and need in recognizing and respecting differences in religious beliefs.
Penpushing also reports that Isiaka, a member of Penpushing platform explained that he was born into Islamic religion and assured that he would contribute his quota to development of all recogised religions, stressing that there should be no discrimination of any faith
‘I want progress and unity, that is what we must be emphasizing, so whichever faith you have or whichever religion you have it’s your choice. And I am convinced about greater Nigeria and its developmental growth’, Isiaka added
Penpushing reports that, he acknowledged the focus of President Bola Tinubu to lead the country to the promised land, stressing that within two years of the administration he (Tinubu) has put the country on the path of progress, and need to support him.
The Ogun state Governor Prince Dapo Abiodun in his remarks congratulated Isiaka, on his turbaning as the 3rd Seriki Adinni of Yewaland and urged him to use his new role to promote peace, foster unity among the Muslim faithful, and champion the spiritual growth of the Ummah in Yewaland
Penpushing further reports that Abiodun represented by his Deputy, Engr Noimot Salako-Oyedele said Isiaka, popularly called, “GNI, has consistently exemplified humility, integrity, discipline, and strength that command respect across both the public and private sectors, including his role at the National Assembly.
The Governor commended Isiaka’s unwavering dedication to the advancement of his people, noting that, he has remained a dignified Ambassador of Imeko town, Yewaland, and Ogun West Senatorial District

Penpushing also reports that he pointed out that the title goes beyond personal recognition, stressing that it is a call to duty and deeper service which should be approached with grace and sincerity, as he equally acknowledged the pivotal role of the lawmaker’s family in his journey.
“Behind every effective leader is a family that believes in and supports the mission. I commend your wife and entire family for their steadfastness’, the Governor emphaised.
Penpushing reports that he said as Seriki Adini, Isiaka is expected to strengthen unity and spiritual growth in the community, adding that the title is timely and richly for Isiaka being honored by the Yewa Muslim community for his humility, integrity, and commitment to progress.
