The federal lawmaker at the events which attracted presence of All Progressives Congress (APC) leaders, thousands of party members, community stakeholders and residents among others outlined legislative efforts, constituency projects and national economic reforms aimed at improving the welfare of his constituents and Nigerians at large.

Penpushing further reports that Isiaka in his speech described the engagement as a mid-time report of achievements recorded over the past two and a half years, stressing that the exercise was meant to promote unity, transparency and constructive dialogue within Yewa land.

The chieftain of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) explained that the mandate given to him by the people was a covenant of service rooted in trust, principles and commitment to the collective welfare of the constituency.

Penpushing also reports that reflecting on national issues, the lawmaker explained that the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu inherited a fragile economy burdened by decades of fuel subsidy payments, multiple exchange rates and rising debt obligations.

The Yewa born politician added that the removal of unification of the exchange rate and ongoing tax reforms were difficult but necessary decisions taken to rescue the economy from collapse.

Penpushing reports that Isiaka pointed out that early signs of recovery were already evident through improved market confidence, moderating inflation and more predictable macroeconomic indicators.

The lawmaker said the National Assembly, under the leadership of Senate President Godswill Akpabio and Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Tajudeen Abbas, has continued to work closely with the Executive to ensure that economic reforms translate into tangible benefits for citizens, even as Nigerians endure current economic pressures and security challenges.

Penpushing further reports that he commended Governor Dapo Abiodun for what he described as strategic governance, citing developments in infrastructure, healthcare, education, agriculture and revenue generation, as well as the delivery of the Gateway International Airport at Iperu-Remo, which he said has expanded economic opportunities for the state.

The two-time governorship candidate in Ogun state stated explained that at the constituency level, his representation has focused on legislative advocacy and grassroots development.

Penpushing also reports that he highlighted the formulation of a comprehensive economic development plan for Yewa North/Imeko-Afon and efforts to promote legislation and budgetary provisions aimed at industrial and agro-processing development in the area.

The known popular politician added that constituency interventions have spanned road construction, security infrastructure, potable water supply, power projects, digital facilities and educational development across communities in the federal constituency.

Penpushing reports that Isiaka said several projects have been completed while others are ongoing, particularly in the education sector, where new classroom blocks, school renovations and a Computer-Based Testing centre are being provided to improve learning outcomes.

The Chairman of the House Committee on National Planning and Economic Development at lower chamber noted that empowerment programmes and community-based projects were spread across all wards to ensure inclusive development.

Penpushing further reports that Isiaka said the past two years have been marked by deliberate legislative engagement and wide-ranging projects across Yewa North and Imeko-Afon.

The lawmaker equally highlighted the construction of a 1.58-kilometre road in Imeko to improve connectivity and economic activities, establishment of a divisional police office in Oja Odan to enhance security, and the provision of potable water through boreholes in several communities to address water scarcity and public health concerns.

Penpushing also reports that he disclosed that significant attention has been given to education, with the construction and renovation of classrooms in various communities, the establishment of a Computer-Based Testing centre at Nazareth High School, Imeko, and the distribution of school materials to support pupils and improve learning outcomes.

The former governorship candidate added that electricity supply has been improved through the installation of transformers in Ayetoro, Oja Odan, Ilara and Oke-Agbede, while digital inclusion has been strengthened through the provision of a mini-power station and internet facility in Imeko.

Penpushing reports that Isiaka explained that, beyond projects and legislation, emphasised that leadership must be defined by values, character and integrity, as he urged constituents to uphold principled leadership and shared responsibility, noting that sustainable development can only be achieved when leaders and citizens are united by common values and long-term vision.

The event witnessed recognition of Isiaka’s leadership and youth engagement, as he was honoured by the Southern Youth Forum with the Nelson Mandela Leadership Award of Excellence and Integrity, in recognition of his contributions and for being adjudged the Most Outstanding Youth-Friendly Lawmaker for 2025.

Penpushing further reports that Isiaka assured constituents of his continued commitment to accountable representation, pledging to remain accessible, resilient and dedicated to advancing the interests of Yewa North/Imeko-Afon Federal Constituency as he completes his term in office.
