Nigerian Guild of Editors 2023 National Biennial Convention holds June in Owerri

The National Biennial Convention of the Nigerian Guild of Editors (NGE), has been scheduled to hold between June 15 and 17, 2023 in Owerri, Imo State Capital to usher in a new executive committee to pilot the affairs of our professional body for the next two years.

Penpushing reports that General Secretary of the Guild Dr Iyobosa Uwugiaren in a statement explained that the convention with the theme, “Post 2023 Election: Promoting Professionalism for Enhancement of Democracy and Good Governance’’, will also afford members a huge opportunity to examine media issues arising from the 2023 post-election.

The statement emphasized that financial members who are up-to-date with their annual dues as at May 15, 2023, will be allowed to participate in the convention, adding that delegates are expected to arrive Owerri on June 15, 2023 and depart on June 17, 2023.

Penpushing further reports that the General Secretary of the Nigerian Guild of Editors (NGE) in the statement disclosed that the convention will take place at Rockview Hotel Owerri, Plot Cp/2-Cp/5, Government Station Layout, Owerri, Imo State.

The Nigerian Guild of Editors (NGE) is a network of more experienced journalists who have attained the position of editors, an independent non-profit and non-partisan organisation established to develop human capacity, economic empowerment, protection and welfare of its members.
