Lagos state protesters against police brutality reject MC Oluomo’s food donation

The Lagos State protesters against police brutality on Friday rejected food and drinks donated by the Chairman of National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), Musiliu Akinsanya popularly called MC Oluomo

Penpushing reports that scores of protesters at Alausa, Ikeja, attacked a van believed to have been sent by transport union boss, to deliver water and drinks to them, accusing him (Oluomo) as sponsoring the Thursday attack by armed thugs on them.

The protesters earlier did not know that, the food and water package were from Oluomo and had collected, but when one of them noticed named on the bottled water, he raised alarm which attracted others, in swift reaction the protesters started throwing the bottles at the white van that brought the items

“MC Oluomo sent them, he wants to poison us, don’t drink the water .We don’t want any support from MC Oluomo, they are trying to break us, they want to penetrate again,” protesters shouted.

Penpushing further reports that, the driver and other officials of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), sensing danger as a result of the reactions of the protesters against the gifts, hurriedly drove away from the scene.

The protesters in their hundreds, thereafter continued the   #EndSARS protest, while sources said MC Oluomo had denied the allegations, explaining  in a video he shared on social media that he supports the protest for police reform and could not have sent the thugs.
