
Ogun state government to begin airlift of pilgrims to Saudi Arabia on Sunday
The Ogun State Government is set for airlift of first batch of all intending pilgrims to Saudi Arabia on Sunday, May 11, 2025, as the pilgrims are expected to attend a farewell ceremony holding on Saturday
Penpushing reports that the Executive Secretary of the Ogun State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board (OGMPWB), Alhaji Ajibola Taiwo made this known in a press statement adding that the farewell ceremony is scheduled to hold at the Oba’s Complex, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta.
The Board Executive Secretary advised all intending pilgrims to come in their uniforms, adding that for further inquiries, they should visit the Board’s office, New Secretariat, Block B, Governors’ Office, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, or call: 08034294263, 08065824739 and 07061287094.
Penpushing further reports that it is recalled that the board had earlier warned the 2025 intending pilgrims from the state to stay clear of prohibited items such as kolanuts, knives, blades, scissors, shaving sticks, among others, warning that these items are not allowed into Saudi Arabia.
