My relationship with late Oba Adekunle Aromolaran, Paramount ruler of ijesaland

The torch bearer of Oduduwa, Oba Adekunle Aromolaran joined his ancestors at 86. I am going to miss him because of my relationship with him as foremost traditional ruler in ijesaland, my homestead. I stepped into the palace for the first time in my life during my family picnic in 1982/83 shortly after his installation and that was as a young boy, it never occurred to me I will one day be closer to him. But I believe its God designed and I appreciate that profusely.
I can confirm that there is no time he has function(s) in Abeokuta where I resident that he would not put a call across to me to inform me of his coming. One other unique thing about late Aromolaran was that, there is no time I travelled home and paid him visit in the palace, he would extend both materials and monetary gestures to me, contrary to believe that all visitors to the palace must “drop” something for the king, but for me I never experienced that, but instead I returned from palace with smiles. On final note, I pray that the soul of my royal father rest in permanent and perfect peace. Adieu
