My performances have nullify claims of my alleged non- indigenship of ogun west senatorial district, says senator olamilekan

The Senator representing Ogun West Senatorial District at the national assembly, Senator Solomon Olamilekan has declared that he was not ready to join issues with anyone questioning his indigenship, explaining that his performances as lawmaker representing the zone have nullified such claim.

Penpushing reports the Senator stated this in a statement by his Media Adviser, Chief Kayode Odunaro in reaction to the interview credited to a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Chief (Mrs) Iyabo Anisulowo claiming that the lawmaker is not a bonafide indigene of the zone.

The former Minister in the said interview declared that Olamilekan popularly called Yayi is a stranger in the zone and that he only came to take resources and inheritance of the founding fathers of the zone, warning that he should stop meddling into the internal politics of the zone and the state.

‘We are not accepting a stranger to come and take our resources and our inheritance in this place. We have worked very hard to build it to the level that they came. You don’t meddle with their internal politics. If you meddle with their internal politics, you’ll run to your own base eventually’, Anisulowo stated.

‘When he came, he came like a snake, serpent looking for his root. His mother was buried in Epe, the father is buried in Ekiti. I have been here for 40 years, playing the politics, national politics, and those time I was fighting for five local government where was he. If we are two local government, will he say he is from here. If he is my brother, won’t he congratulate me’, she emphasized

Penpushing further reports that, the federal lawmaker in response stated that he did not see any need to engaged anyone expressing sheer emotions with muddled up and unverifiable claims, adding that the said claim was angry barking of a Rottweiler.

The statement emphasized that the Senator emphasized that it was more productive to ignore the whimpering or even shrill barking of a Chihuahua in a manner of speaking, explaining that the claim was outdated and holds no substance

‘On a good day, the office of Senator Adeola will not join issues with anyone expressing his warped opinion on any matter particularly during campaign seasons when such brickbats are part of the game for some challenged politicians without anything to curry favour of voters and public opinion’, it read.

Penpushing also reports that the Senator who did not deny the fact that Anisulowo granted the said interview as published by Penpushing Media, however, stated that his alleged non indigeneship was a ruse to prevent his excise of his constitutional rights.

‘The content of the story of Senator Anisulowo as rehashed word for word in the transcription published has been completely negativized by the effluxion of time. Senator Adeola has since campaigned as a bona fide son of the soil for the post of Senator and was overwhelmingly voted as the Senator representing Ogun West Senatorial District last year’, the statement added

‘All through the campaign and eventual election and victory that was covered by Penpushing, the propagandist issues raised by Senator Anisulowo was silenced for good and today not a few Ogun West District indigenes are happy that an original son of the soil is now on ground doing what predecessors can only dream of in terms of attracting massive empowerment and development for the district’, the statement stated.

‘Today whatever the development claimed in the interview that Senator Adeola is going to reap from as an alleged non-indigene has been surpassed in leaps and bounds with many thanking God for bringing back Senator Adeola to show what effective representation is all about’.

‘Among the massive and mega development attracted by Senator Adeola across the district in all sectors are road construction leading to the private residences of former Senators including Senator Anisulowo. So, on both the issue of indigeneship and Senator Adeola coming to reap from the development claimed in the interview, subsequent development has rubbished both conclusively’.
