Multiple accident claims two in Lagos

A multiple accident which occurred on Odo Itiya located on the bridge linking Maryland-Ojota and Ikorodu road has claimed two lives on Friday and many others injured

Penpushing reports that, the crash involved a tipper, with registration number T-12015LA, an empty tanker with registration number FKJ-506XM, an articulated flat bed truck laden with metal coils, a grey colored Toyota Camry with registration number ABC-261AJ Abuja

The driver of the tipper laden with 30tons sharp sand was reported to have lost control while on high speed and rammed into other vehicles which include two commercial busses (Danfo), killing two persons which include a male and a female on the spot.

Penpushing further reports that, the South West spokesman of National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), Ibrahim Farinloye was quoted to have explained that the male adult was handed over to SEHMU at the scene while the female corpse was taken by her immediate family.

The agency spokesman was also quoted saying that several persons were injured and taken to nearby hospitals by the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in conjunction with other safety agencies.
