Man threatens to commit suicide if court fails to dissolve marriage, says wife’s private part now ‘public tap’

A 64-year old retired civil servant, Amos Akinlolu, has begged the Grade ‘A’ Customary Court sitting at Mapo, Ibadan to dissolve his 30 year old marriage with his wife, Funmilayo, saying that his wife has become a public ‘tap water’ all men drinks.
Penpushing reports that Akinlolu told the court that his wife is an unrepentant adulterer, asking the court to separate him and the estranged wife adding that any contrary to his request, he would commit suicide ,pointing out that life had not been the same for him since he took notice of his wife’s ”infidelity.”
“My lord, peace is now a thing of the past in my family since Funmilayo started making herself a public tap where all men fetch water. I can no longer bear living under the same roof with an adulterous wife, because she poses a threat to me, I will commit suicide if this court refuses my prayer,” Akinlolu knelt down sobbing.
Penpushing further reports that the estranged wife in response to the husband’s allegation described the claim as baseless adding that contrary to her husband’s allegation, he has never caught any man in bed with her.
The woman argued that, her husband kept accusing her of infidelity which was baseless adding that, that was the reason why there has not been peace in the family,, stressing that on her own part she did not do anything wrong.
Penpushing also reports that all the five children from the couple in their own submission support the request of their father and agreed that the marriage should be dissolved for peace to reign in the family, and put an end to the incessant crisis.
Meanwhile, the President of the court, Mrs Imoleayo Akinrodoye,in her judgement, put an end to the incessant matrimonial crisis, and thereafter dissolved the marriage in the interest of peace for both parties.
