MAGISTRATE EMBARKS ON MATRIMONIAL JOURNEY WITH UNIVERSITY LECTURER
The marriage comperes known as Alaga Ijoko, thereafter took over activities of the event and rolled out other programme of events effectively which include; melodious praise worship, declaration of intent, presentation of proposal letter, presentation of acceptance letter and presentation and blessing of the engagement items .
The letter was read by the brother of the bride, Oluwatamilore Ogunmodede, while Professor Oyewole, former Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University of Agriculture was assigned the role of exhortation and blessing of the couple.
Penpushing further reports that, both families at the ceremony joined the couple in prayer, which marked the end of the first phase of the wedding, and thereafter, the following day, Saturday, August 10, 2019, the families embarked on solemnization of the holy matrimony.
The second phase of the colourful marriage pact took place at Cathedral of St Peter, Ake, Abeokuta in Ogun State, with the Church full to brim by guests, families and other well-wishers, while the order of service was kick-started with processional hymn, ‘to God be the Glory’.
Penpushing also reports that, order of service include; word of exhortation, declaration, hymns ,acclamation, while a lesson was read from the book of 1 Peter 3: 1-7, prayer for the couple,, sermon, signing of marriage register, thanksgiving , benediction and recessional hymn to end the service.
The couple train, thereafter moved to the reception held at the multi-purpose events centre of the Bishop’s Court, at Onikolobo axis of Abeokuta, Ogun State Capital, which was avenue for wining and dining.
Penpushing reports that guests from far and near were not left out to be part of the memorable wedding of the daughter of a renowned fearless and courageous legal practitioner, Benjami Oludare Ogunmodede.
The couple and their parents, as well as well-wishers and other guests from all walks of life could not hide their joy on the glorious day, as they danced melodiously to appreciate God to have signed and sealed the marriage.
