Speaking to journalists after the donation, President of Region 8 of the Club, Abimbola Aina-David said the donation was part of the club social responsibilities to uplift standard of education at the primary level.
He added that, this was borne out of the commitment and philosophy of the International Lions Club to assist the less privilege stressing that ‘where there is a will there is always a lion’.
“We decided to select five primary schools as our little contribution not only to assist the pupils but to also uplift the educational development in the areas visited. It is also aimed at assisting their parents and government who cannot do everything at a go’, he stated.
“At Lions Club, corporate social responsibility is taken wholeheartedly, so this gesture will be a continuous exercise, because we shall continue to give to the Society,” Aina-David said.
