Legendary gospel singer, Ron Kenoly dies at 81
The renowned legendary gospel singer and song writer, Ron Kenoly has been reported dead on Tuesday, February 3, 2026 at the age of 81.
Penpushing reports that the American Christian worship leader whose songs impacted lives globally was born on December 6, 1944, at Coffeyville, Kansas, United States of America(USA), and was known in gospel music circles in the 1980s and 1990s, for leading live music concerts.
The deceased has inspired many both in his homeland and in Africa to follow their passion and ‘Praise The Lord’, as well as songs like ‘Lift Him Up’, ‘Jesus Is Alive’ and several songs made at live worship concerts.
Penpushing further reports that Kenoly music career began following time spent in the United States Air Force, while his musical career breakthrough came in 1992 when ‘Lift Him Up’ which became the fastest selling worship album to that point.
The other song was ‘Welcome Home’ produced by Tom Brooks which was also critically acclaimed, becoming Billboard’s Top contemporary worship music album, as well as additional songs such as Majesty, Righteousnes, Peace and Joy, Anointing, All honour, Sing Out, among others.
