LAWMAKER ARRESTED OVER LAWMAKER’S DEATH

The  suspect, who is currently representing Lagelu State Constituency in the Oyo State House of Assembly, was alleged to have had a hand in the killing of  Olatoye during the Governorship election, with sources adding that, the duo of Olatoye and Akinmoyede  have been at loggerheads in Lagelu Local Government area of the State over the years.

Penpushing recalled that, the deceased  represented the constituency in the Oyo State House of Assembly between 2011-2015 under the banner of the All Progressives Congress (APC) before moving ahead to represent Lagelu/Akinyele federal C onstituency in the House of Representatives and later contested for the party’s Senatorial ticket but lost to the former Senate leader, Senator Teslim Folarin.

The arrested politician, Akinmoyede, is currently representing the same constituency in the State House of Assembly was a former Chairman of the same Local Government Council before becoming a member of the State House of Assembly.
