Late former governor Ajimobi’s family relocates to Lagos state

The immediate family of the late former Governor of Oyo State, Abiola Ajimobi has relocated to Lagos from the family residence located in Oluyole estate, Ring road area of  Ibadan, Oyo State Capital, barely four days after the burial of the family breadwinner, who died of coronavirus complications’.

Penpushing reports that, one of the domestic staff of the late Governor during a check to the family home disclosed that the widow and children left on Monday night around 7:30pm, while further investigation showed that, all gates leading to Yemoja Street, Oluyole Estate which has been earlier closed and manned by security operatives since the announcement of the death of the ex governor has been  re-opened and made accessible for  public.

The findings also showed that, movement of cars and people on the street has reduced drastically, while security personnel detailed to the home was observed to be reduced, while few domestic staff sighted were seen  discussing in low tones

Penpushing further reports that, on Wednesday, the muslim community led by Alhaji Muyideen Ajani Bello to the residence  for a special prayer while speaking with journalists noted that it will takes 50 years to come before Oyo State can see someone like Ajimobi, adding that the late governor has done well and his achievement is unprecedented.

“Ajimobi was born into Islam, and Islam has never departed from him for the fact that he has spent a lot of years in abroad, he fears God even more than the big Islamic clerics, during his lifetime, he always says that he want people to be praising him after his death’, Bello said.

“Ajimobi used to send at least 50 people to Mecca every year, the greatest achievements he made was that he entered the black house in Mecca because anybody who will enter this house will try all his best, he entered the house in Mecca together with Arisekola and he told us that all his prayer requests has been answered by Allah’.

Penpushing also reports that speaking after the special prayer was a popular Ibadan Islamic preacher, Alhaji Taofeek Akeugbagold, who described the late governor as his mentor and his boss, adding that he worked with him for good eight years and has learnt a lot of lesson through him because he was a great man and an embodiment of virtues during his lifetime.

“Oyo State has lost a great man, Nigeria has lost a great politicians, and the world has lost a great Muslim, Ajimobi has done a lot for Muslim community which was unprecedentedly during his life time, he has done what no governors have never done in the state as far as record is concern, not even for Muslim only but also for Christian, he played the game in a balance way, Ajimobi has a forgiven spirit more than any other politicians I know.
