A frontline Governorship aspirant under the banner of All Progressives Congress (APC) ahead of the 2026 Governorship race in Osun State, Engr Dideolu Falobi has reaffirmed that his interest to rule the state is to afford him opporunity to deploy all the training, experience that he has garnered in the private sector over the past thirty-eight years to help the state.
Penpushing reports that Falobi stated this while featuring on a television programme titled, ‘The Road to Government House Oshogbo on Politics and Governance’, adding that the greatest resource in Osun State is the human resource, stressing that almost everybody is well educated.

The Engineer turned politician while noting that there are some challenges in the run up to the last cycle of elections in Osun state, expressed confidence that right now the party leadership has been able to identify those who are genuinely committed to the party.
‘And as we speak the party is one united, committed to ensuring that we do what we know how to do best, which is deliver a state the kind of services and the kind of returns on the investment of our forefathers in creating that state’, he stated.
‘Now, whatever you are hearing in recent times are the natural, what I would call challenges and dynamics that come with the election cycle. There is no problem. It is a rumbling among brothers and we have a structure in the party and especially in Osun state’
‘We have elders who are there monitoring everything that is happening and they are taking steps to ensure that a robust contest does not derail the party. So I can assure you that yes, there are a few things we will be hearing. And don’t forget that some of these things are inflated beyond what they really are’.
Penpushing further reports that he said as a reputable engineer he would help the state to achieve its maximum potential, adding that the engineering industry which is finding solutions to challenges will deploy solutions by using the materials available.

The Ijesa born aspirant pointed out that the state is known for farming, commerce and industry, hence he would not ignore the relevance if elected into power, stressing that there is amount of arable land
‘There is also the amount of arable land that we have in Osun State. If you drop a grain of maize on the floor, it will grow. So you have good arable land. You have network of rivers, the Osun river, all sorts of rivers crisscrossing the entire land space, which means with proper management you can actually grow your crops all year round’, Falobi said.
Penpushing also reports that on former Governor Rauf Aregbesola leaving All Progressives Congress (APC), said the party has moved beyond him and his team, pointing out that no individual is bigger than the party
‘I can assure you the APC has moved beyond him. We moved on, we moved beyond him and his team. And we believe that no individual is bigger than the party. So we are focused. We have a robust dynamic team on ground now, members of the party are committed, they are loyal hundred percent because what happened in the past was a case of so-called members of the party who are working for the opposition’.
‘So, in the party today we have people who are genuinely committed to the party innterms of opposition. In terms of the fact that we are in opposition at the state level, I can assure you the people of Osun State want a change’.
‘And because what you are seeing today in terms of how things are decaying calls for change, quite a lot of crimes are being committed. Employment is not being created. Educational institutions are not at their maximum performance’.

‘A lot of schools don’t have adequate teachers. Where they have teachers, even the infrastructure is not being helped. The health system is not working as well as it should. So basically, the kind of across-the-board progress we want to see is not being seen even in the areas of infrastructure’.
‘We are not satisfied with what is going on. So quite a lot of people, citizens of the state actually are yearning for change and I am sure that they also want to be part of the center in terms of the opportunities that have been created by the center’
‘Increase the allocation to the states which are not being deployed as they should be. So they also want to be part of it and to get the the maximum benefit of being part of the center. I think Osun State is ready to change the government.
Penpushing reports that on views of other aspirants within the party, he assured that whoever get the ticket would definitely receive support of others to pave way for the sack of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) government in the state
‘I can Assure you, given all what is available or what is on ground now, there are 13 of us who have shown interest in the contest. And I can assure you that if there is one thing I can assure you, it is the fact that whoever wins amongst us, the rest are going to work amicably with him. That is taken and that is already agreed upon’.
‘Like I said, we have the council of elders in APC who are quietly and effectively directing the state of things. They are watching and they are monitoring and they are engaging the aspirants’, he stated.

‘There have been three or four meetings, where the issues of unity, issues of cohesiveness, issues of agreeing to work together after the primaries have been settled. And I think we are all committed to that’.
Penpushing further reports that Falobi admitted that the contest will be robust, because All Progressives Congress (APC) is not frivolous, adding that at the end of the day, he believes that whoever wins the contest will be the best among the lot.
‘Whoever do not win, we have already agreed that we also work with whoever wins. So basically, I don’t see any division or thereafter’, Falobi emphasized
