OYO ALLIANCE FOR DEMOCRACY GOVERNORSHIP CANDIDATE BEGS PARTY MEMBERS TO CLOSE RANKS

He commended the leadership and members of his party, his teeming supporters and  friends for their support so far, just as he  enjoined them to overlook all their grievances in the interest of peace.

Hear him ‘I am using this opportunity to appeal to all the aggrieved members of our party to forgo all the inadequacies of the past. We have the obligation of delivering the people of Oyo State from shackles of the poverty-driven APC and its remnants. It is beckon on us to build a virile and credible alternative structure where the true progressive ideology we stand for can effectively be exhibited. ”

He also appealed to  whoever  has issue to grind with the National Leadership of the party over the dissolution of the State Executive in April and the appointment of the caretaker committee in the interest of the party to withdraw all court cases and let them sit down as brothers and sisters to resolve the internal crisis.

“We need to work as a team, build a formidable party that would be victorious at the poll’, he emphasized, adding that he will be meeting with the State Chairman and members of the State Executive Committee of the party in order to constitute a reconciliation committee with the ultimate goal of bringing all the waring factions together, noting that tongue and mouth do fight but they have learnt how to live together peacefully’.

“To all our teaming supporters and the general public, I want to state again that the cases in court has nothing to do with my candidature. It is not a case between Alao and Onigbinde. It is a case of people who felt aggrieved by the action of the National Leadership of our dear party’.

He however urged the party faithful to show the difference between Alliance for Democracy (AD) and other pseudo – progressive parties by resolving the crisis internally rather than approaching court of law which will further deepen the divisions.

“In order to lead by example, I will also reach out personally to co-aspirants, particularly, Dr. Akin Onigbinde and other leaders of the party for us to see reasons why our people must not continue to suffer as a result of our differences.”

Penpushing recalled that the Oyo State Chapter of Alliance for Democracy(AD) had held parallel party primaries in September to choose its flag bearer, a development which has divided the party into factions
