LAGOS-IBADAN EXPRESSWAY READY FOR COMMISSIONING SOON, SAYS OSINBAJO

“Lagos-Ibadan Expressway will be commissioned by the end of the month. We are working towards bringing more development to Nigeria. The road which is very important to us is Oyo/Ilorin/Ogbomoso road and we will soon complete it”, he assured.

Penpushing also reports that, Osinbajo, who described Soun of Ogbomoso as his adopted father, stated that aside being a royal father, the monarch has vision for the development of Yoruba land and the race.

The residents of the town while speaking at the Soun Ogunlola Town Hall, implored the Federal Government to rehabilitate the Oyo-Ogbomoso road which they said had become a death trap, and also requested for the establishment of a federal institution in the town.

Penpushing reports that the residents said 100 acres of land has been set aside for the Federal Polytechnic at Ayede village and also asked the Federal Government to site industries where mangoes and cashew nut would be the raw materials which the town has in abundance.

The Vice-President in response urged the electorate to vote for All Progressives Congress (APC) in the February16 and March 2nd elections as a way to continue enjoying more noble programmes and projects.

“If there is no corruption, we would have enough money to develop Nigeria. Let’s vote for honest people. We shall be moving forward. The Oyo/Igbomoso will be attended to and request of the Federal Polytechnic will be looked into”, he said.

Penpushing further reports Osinbajo who visited many villages and places in Ogbomoso axis, including Bowen University Teaching Hospital, Iluju Market, Iresa Pupa, Ikoyi-Ile and a host of others explained that the Federal Government would not relent in executing more laudable programmes.

He added that the number of beneficiaries of Home Grown Feeding Programme would be increased from 9.2 million children to12 million, while 500,000 beneficiaries of N-Power would be leap-frogged to1.5 million.

“Since we have assumed office, we decided that we would work for the development of the country despite the shortage of funds. Even with the shortage of funds, we would be executing one project after the others. We decided to be prudent’.

“We have executed many programmes and projects such as TraderMoni, Home Grown School Feeding Programme, N-Power and others. 9.2 million Children are being fed under the school feeding programme; we will increase the number of the beneficiaries to 12 million. 500,000 people are beneficiaries of N-Power; we are going to increase it to 1.5 million beneficiaries.
