Penpushing further reports that findings showed that the programme is to start from 10am where the new decampees will be welcome by the leadership of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

The chieftains it would be recalled parted ways with Adebutu some months ago, following political differences, as well as unresolved crisis within the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the state.

Penpushing also reports in September 28, 2024, Adekunle while parting ways with Adebutu had shortly after the conduct of parallel congresses of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) declared that he(Adebutu) was not qualify to run for the seat in 2027.

The politician who was on a joint ticket with Adebutu at the 2023 governorship race, while buttressing his position, explained that there was no way the incumbent Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun who is from Iperu in Ikene local government where Adebutu also hails from and intends to take over from him after 8 years rule.

‘The fact is that many of us in Ogun PDP are of the view that Hon. Ladi Adebutu should not and cannot run for the office of Ogun State governor in 2027. There is no way the incumbent governor, H.E Prince Dapo Abiodun who is from Iperu in Ikene LG of Ogun state will be competing his 8yrs term in 2027 God willing, and a self-entitled Iperu man will want to be governor in 2027’, he emphasised.

‘So, what happened today is a conscious and deliberate line of action by all us to say no to Hon. Ladi Adebutu 2027 ambition. He can run in 2031, 2035 or 2029!! Definitely not 2027. We had parallel Ward and LG congresses just weeks back, and we in court at FHC Abeokuta on that. We had a very successful State Congress today the 28th of September 2024’, Akinlade added.

Penpushing reports that Ogundele on April 26, 2024 in his own remarks while addressing supporters during a meeting held at the party’s secretariat in Abeokuta, ahead of the party congress emphasised that Adebutu is not destiny to become Governor of the state.

The former chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) pointed out that misconduct of Adebutu was a pointed to that fact, adding that there seems to be that he is on curse which is working against him becoming a governor of the over forty years state

‘I am saying it with all confidence that Ladi Adebutu himself does not want to become a governor or maybe he was not destined to be one. Is like there is a curse on him that is working against his becoming a governor. But as for me, I will never be unfortunate’, Ogundele emphasised.

Penpushing further reports that he stressed that highhandedness of Adebutu led to the failure of the party to be successful at the last poll, recalling that having been losing governorship election since 2019 was a relevant factor that he is not destined to rule

The former Governorship candidate of the opposition party in reaction to the statement said it was nothing but a foul cry from a man after his gains, adding that he was not disturbed by Ogundele’s allegations and would not join issues with him.

Penpushing also reports that Adebutu in a statement through his media aide Afolabi Orekoya, declared that Ogundele was on his own, adding that for such coming from him showed that there was more to it

‘The chairman is just on his own. Out of 57 state executive council members, if it is only the chairman who is saying that, then you know that there is more to it. We are not joining issues with him, he is the only one on that journey, he was the only state executive member that was at the meeting out of 57. That is to tell you that it is more of his thinking’, Adebutu was quoted saying.

‘Was it Adebutu that went to disrupt or cause violence at Sagamu where elections were destroyed? Was it Adebutu who gave the judgments at the courts? He (Ogundele) is crying foul because of his gain and enterprise, we are not perturbed, and we are not surprised’, he added

Penpushing reports that on August 26, 2024, twenty-two leaders of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) from Ogun West Senatorial District of Ogun State came in support of Adebutu following Akinlade’s verbal attack on him.

The leaders expressed disbelief on the statement credited to former Deputy Governorship Candidate of the party, who described the 2023 Governorship Candidate of the party, Hon Ladi Adebutu as a misfit.

Penpushing further reports that in reaction to Akinlade’s verbal and written condemnation of Adebutu, the party leaders from the zone said they received the attack with heavy stroke of pain, adding that the action of Akinlade was ungentlemanly cries of an overgrown infant.

The statement said it is on good note that Akinlade popularly called ‘Triple A’ was never Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) member, but brought in 2022, adding that because of the irrevocable trust in Adebutu’s leadership, all interests were collapsed in order to accommodate and integrate Akinlade and his followers to the party’s mainstream, especially in Ogun West

‘With heavy stroke of pain, the needless vituperations of Hon Abdulkabir Akinlade, the deputy governorship candidate of our great party, the PDP in the last circle of general election in Ogun state, caught the attention of the Ogun West PDP Leaders Forum. As such, PDP leaders in Ogun West, where Triple A hails from, have a duty to address such ungentlemanly cries of an overgrown infant as displayed by Triple A’.

‘Foremost, it is on good record that it was the governorship candidate of our party Hon Dr Oladipupo Olatunde Adebutu that singlehandedly brought in Akinlade, even when he was NEVER a member of our PDP as recent as 2022 and because of our irrevocable trust in his leadership, all interests were collapsed in order to accommodate and integrate him and his followers to the party’s mainstream, especially in Ogun West’.

Penpushing also reports that the chieftains of the party declared that Akinlade cannot claim to have 50 followers in each of the 5 local government areas of Ogun West who contributed financially to the truncated success of the party even as the Deputy Governorship candidate.

‘Just as we do not know or see any of Akinlades’ financial contribution to Ogun West before, during and after the elections other than his empty grandstanding and relying on the financial fortune of the Adebutu in prosecuting the last election’, the statement reads.

‘Beyond words, the leadership of our party in Ogun West is not unaware of Triple A’s legendary penchant for treachery and backstabbing. We know what he did to his elder brother from his homestead, Otunba Akeem Adigun, the popular Ogun West successful business mogul who gave his all in bringing the pathetic ingrate to political limelight’.

Penpushing reports that the statement endorsed by the twenty-two party members in the zone alleged that Akinlade had once betrayed his former boss and former governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, hence their relationship hit the rock.

‘Just as we were hoping that Akinlade has resumed work on his needed self-rehabilitation when he joined the Ladi Adebutu political family in 2022, the ugly monster dwelling in the mind, spirit and soul of an unrepentant traitor reared its ugly head just a few days in January 2024 after the final judicial pronouncement on the Ogun State Guber election.

‘For the party leaders in Ogun West, maybe we should begin to thank God for not making Triple A the Deputy Governor in 2023, who knows what would have happened to Ladi Adebutu’s life by now. It is really sad that one of us, an Ogun West person cannot grow beyond open hatred, bile, and unguided envy for someone, who, out of trust, sense of friendship and obvious pity, extended his hands to him for good. Indeed, every disappointment is a blessing in disguise!’, the statement added

Penpushing further reports that the party leaders emphasized that Adebutu remain a benefactor for Akinlade, stressing that for him to have made a damaging remark on him (Adebutu) was an unimaginable degree of serial betrayal, ingratitude and ineptitude.
