Kidnappers abduct students travelling for Christmas in Ondo
Four students of the Kogi State Polytechnic while returning home for the Christmas holiday have been kidnapped at Ago Jinadu, along Akinnu-Ajowa Road, known to be a notoriety for criminal activities in Akoko area of Ondo State.
Penpushing reports that, the Area Commander of Ikare Police Muri Agboola, while confirming the incident said officers were combing the forests along Akunnu-Ajowa Akoko road in search of the kidnapped students as at the time of filing this report.
The area commander gave assurance that no effort would be spared in rescuing the kidnapped undergraduates, just sources as at the time of this report said the ugly development has brought sorrow to the Ajowa community as parents of the victims cried for help in rescuing their children.
Penpushing further reports that, the incident occurred barely a month after the traditional ruler of Ajowa-Akoko, Oba Clement Olukotun, was kidnapped, and was later released by the abductors after collecting N10 million ransom.
